Even little blue ones are early…

April 6, 2010

Untitled, photo by *Alysa*.

Anyone know what these little flowers are called? They’ve always been a sign of spring for me and like daffodils and everything else in 2010, they’re out early.

Check this out bigger in her YIP 2010 slideshow.

We have a bunch of these (or some similar flower) blooming between the Law Quad and the School of Education Building here in Ann Arbor. No idea what kind they are.

A few people have suggested that they are Forget Me Nots.

These are called Skilla – my mother had them all over her yard, and now I do – ours are about 3 weeks early too in Western Mass, and remind me of our home state of MI…

The are Siberian squill, a.k.a. scilla, a minor bulb which blooms for about 2 weeks here in Minnesota!
